Powered by a Rolls-Royce straight 8 cylinder 235 bhp petrol engine, this rare model is believed to be 1 of only 30 made of this type and specification. In service for Royston and then Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire between 1970-82 it attended over 4000 calls.
Restored by Hertfordshire Fire Service it was then donated to the Museum in 2006 to be housed in our purpose-built fire station. Our volunteers have since done work on the brakes and other mechanicals.
It attends various local events to publicise Whitewebbs Museum and appeared on BBC Antiques Roadshow when the programme came from Forty Hall.
